Oh my goodness! I’ve been sharing projects that have been using just the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies, I thought I would make one using the stamp set without the bundled dies! If I don’t stamp something soon, my blog might rename itself to Crazy Die Cut Lady! That doesn’t have the same impact hahaha!
My stamped Whisper White panel measures 3.25″ x 4.5″. It has been embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, but wanted them behind my stamped houses. I added pencil lines to my panel of where the trees would stamp then stamped my 3 houses. Using post it notes I stamped each house again, fussy cut them and placed them over the panels stamped images. This technique s known as “masking”. I added my trees with the help of my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig . I wanted my houses to be on little hills!
There is an additional panel of Whisper White cut to 4.25 x 5.5″ that was used with the Card Front Builder Thinlit Dies. Once it was die cut, I trimmed it to fit 1/8″ shorter on all 4 sides and adhered to a Garden Green card base. The stamped panel is added with Stampin’ Dimensionals . The sentiment is actually from the Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and fussy cut to add a banner.
Another card done! Now if I only actually mailed homemade cards, but Christmas is really about tradition, and sending Photo cards is ours!
Just a few days left before this hostess code expires…..
Hi! Just popping on to share my latest Beachy Little Christmas Flameless Candle. I made a lot of these using Painted Harvest but it wasn’t until today that the lightbulb went on over my head!
I’ve finally figured out how to make them without melting away all the wax! I’m not remaking the 28 I have done already but I already have started working on 8 more of these with the Beachy theme
I’m thinking about making a video of my process. But first I need to get my new iPhone! It’s coming and I can’t wait to have more memory so I don’t have to delete all my apps just to record and upload a video. 3 years ago 16gb was enough. I was tempted to jump to 256gb but 64gb will feel like 256 after living with my toy iPhone. lol. I’m just being silly.
I’ll be back tomorrow for my weekly post!
Hi Peeps! It’s Wednesday and that can only mean one thing! You are here because you want to see how I incorporated DSP into yet another card! LOL hey, even I am surprised at the notion I can add DSP to a card! I’m loving the fact I’m cutting into it. It only hurt at first, now I’m on a roll!
Spooky Night DSP has a great “square” option within the design. When I saw it, I instantly knew it would show up on a Corner Fold Card! More fussy cutting and of course Teeny Tiny Wishes. But look! I used the Duet Banner Punch again!
I had already made my Halloween cards prior to starting my DSP series. I now have my cards finished for NEXT Halloween! I even made this card style for my 2 Grandgirlies! Only difference being I added the Owl from a retired stamp set. But look how cute that owl looks sitting on the branch holding his Trick or Treat Bag! It stamped so well, one might think the DSP came like that! It didn’t, so please don’t get confused. But it does give you options, right?
My girlies are still too young to grasp the Trick or Treat concept, but next year…watch out Cape Coral…they will be knocking at your door for sure!
That is all I have for today! See you Saturday!
Good morning everyone! Today I have something a little different. What’s that you say? Yet another card using the Hometown Greetings Edgelits and the Softly Falling Embossing Folder? Tis true, I am using those products again. But this time it’s an ALL white shaker card that can be used for a Wedding or Anniversary. I happened to have made it for my sister and her hubby, they will be celebrating 39 years of marriage on November 4! 39! Wow, that IS a major accomplishment these days! Also worthy of an elegant card!
The card is a basic shaker. I used layering Ovals Framelts. But before I cut out the oval I ran my 4″ x 5.25″card panel thru my die cutting machine using the embossing folder. Once embossed, I cut the oval. This way I could use the embossed oval as the backdrop for my scene. I used fun foam, but feel free to use Foam Adhesive Strips to create your shaker. I actually made quite a few tags with this same edgelit set, stay tuned for a future post, I saved all the hearts that were left from the tags and used them as my shaker pieces. After all, Weddings and Anniversary’s do deserve hearts!
The Church section of the edgelit was cut and adhered to the backside bottom of the card panel oval, with the Church’s steeple adhered to the outside top. Don’t forget the window sheet or you will be shoveling ha!
The icing on the cake (so to speak) is the “Love” die from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies. I cut several and adhered them to each other and added Clear Wink of Stella to the top layer. I’m not gonna lie, I am in love with this card! I hope my sister will love it as well! Hmmm My son and his wife also have an anniversary coming up in November. But…they live here in Florida, so the whole snowy scene might not be appropriate. BUT! Their baby is being Christened Thanksgiving weekend, we may see this Church again….
Have a great weekend everyone!
Hi Peeps! Is it Wednesday already? I’m excited to share with you another card using Spooky Night DSP! I used the Layering Squares Framelits for the Shaker Opening. I needed extra room to fit a few more Fussy Cut Pumpkins! The sentiment is once again from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I seriously hope this set never retires!
Although we do offer Foam Adhesive Strips that work quite nicely for a shaker card, I’m a Fun Foam hoarder, and I use what I’ve got 🙂 I also had the glitter splatter in my stash…thanks to the Target Dollar Spot LOL!
I hope you are enjoying my series on DSP and don’t forget to stop by Saturday for another card reveal!
Happy Saturday! Just popping on to share my Hearts Come Home Hexagon Box Card. I adore all the options for cards that you can use with the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies! (Disclosure, I used my Cricut to make my card box, but The Window Box Thinlits Dies do make cute boxes, don’t you agree? Mine is just a tad larger so it needs to go inside a 5×7 sized envelope)
I’m also happy I bit the bullet and purchased the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I thought since there is ZERO chance of snow where I live I wouldn’t feel a need to have it. But, as usual, I as wrong!!! Just because I live in the land of Sunshine and Hurricanes it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the feeling of Peace and Tranquility these two Stampin’ Up products give me ❤
In hindsight, I should have maybe added backing to the houses, but honestly, its a pretty bulky card as it is. I will just treat it gently LOL
That’s it for this Saturday, time to work on another Wednesday DSP Card, so please come back to see what I have conjured up!
